They are a part of the family just like Grandma and Grandpa. We love them, and they love us back unconditionally. They spend their days with us, cuddle up to us, and sometimes keep our feet warm. Christmas is just around the corner. What will be the perfect gift for your dog? It’s not as if they can write a letter to Santa, or drop hints at dinner and the department store.
Our cuddly canines want the same things we do for Christmas, well maybe not the diamonds. There are lots of different presents you can get for your pet including treats, toys, and clothing. Many items can be purchased for less than 20.00 each and can be bought in your local pet store or retail shopping center.
If its treats your after, perhaps a giant bone for your pet to gnaw on over the holidays might be a great treat. Not only will this be a yummy surprise for your dog, but it will be a great way to keep him/her busy while you entertain your guests over the holidays. You might also spring for some of those delicious, more expensive treats that you might not buy every day.
If you want to get your dog a new toy, I’ve found that the toys at the pet shop are the best. They are usually made a bit sturdier for aggressive play and last longer. There are even toys like rolling balls that allow you to hide treats in the center of them. Your dog must roll the ball certain ways in order to get the treat to fall out. This can keep your pet busy with his new fun toys for hours.
Still yet, if your one of those people who love to dress your dog up in a cute little holiday outfit, then that may be a great present for you both. Pet stores and department stores stock several different outfits for pets around the holiday season. Perhaps this year little Spot might be an elf, or a reindeer, or maybe even Santa Dog. |
